General Rules for Headings Copy

Use headings whenever you have four or more paragraphs to make the main idea of each paragraph stand out.

• • Use bold type.
  • Use a heading for each paragraph. This could be a primary, secondary, or tertiary heading.
  • Use simple words or short phrases for headings. These could be repetition of key words from the paragraph.
